Connecting systems. Empowering collaboration.
Welfare Call’s platforms integrate seamlessly with the systems Local Authorities already use, linking education, social care and case management data into one secure, connected view.
Whether it’s attendance, attainment, or PEP information, our goal is simple: to reduce duplication, improve data accuracy, and make it easier for professionals to work together around each child.
Fully Integrated with the Systems You Use
For more than two decades, we’ve worked with Local Authorities, Virtual Schools, and education partners to ensure smooth, secure data exchange between Welfare Call and other systems.
We already integrate with a wide range of commonly used education and social care platforms including Liquid Logic, Capita, CACI, Servelec, OLM, Protocol, and Microsoft Power BI.
These integrations allow data to move efficiently between systems, eliminating manual entry, reducing administrative workload, and improving consistency across teams.
Children’s details, education placements, and attendance marks can be securely transferred without duplication, giving staff across education and social care instant access to the information they need.
Our Upcoming API: Building the Future of Integration
The power of data lies not just in what you collect, but in how seamlessly you can use it.
That’s why we’re investing in the development of a new Application Programming Interface (API), a tool designed to deliver true interoperability between Welfare Call’s platforms and the systems Local Authorities rely on every day.
Currently in active development with several of our Virtual School partners, the API will unlock the full potential of the data we hold across attendance, PEPs, and analytics, delivering it directly into your chosen systems safely, efficiently, and intelligently.
Our API will enable Local Authorities and Virtual Schools to:
Why Interoperability Matters
Virtual Schools manage large volumes of data across multiple platforms. Without seamless connections, teams can face duplication, delay, and even conflicting records.
Our API will address these challenges by creating a secure, automated flow of data between Welfare Call and Local Authority systems, enabling staff to work confidently from one consistent version of the truth.
This approach supports the creation of a “golden record” – a single, trusted source of truth for every child.
With one record consolidating attendance, PEP, attainment, and safeguarding information, professionals across education and social care can see the same up-to-date picture, improving coordination and outcomes for young people.
Developed in Collaboration with Virtual Schools
We’re building our API in partnership with the people who will use it most.
By collaborating directly with Virtual Schools, we’re ensuring it meets real-world operational needs and integrates smoothly with established workflows.
Our guiding principles:
The result will be a tool that’s technically robust, fully compliant, and genuinely useful in the day-to-day management of education data.
Built Around Security, Compliance & Control
We understand that data integration means nothing without trust.
All Welfare Call integrations – including our forthcoming API – are built to the highest standards of security and compliance, using ISO 27001-certified UK data centres, Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation, and GDPR-compliant processes.
For Local Authorities preferring direct hosting, we can provide the same connectivity and support while maintaining full control of data within your environment.
Alternatively, Welfare Call can host and manage integrations externally within our secure, cloud-based infrastructure — the preferred choice for the majority of our Local Authority partners.
What This Means for You
If you’re already using Welfare Call’s Attendance, ePEP or Analytics+ services, our integrations – and soon, our API – will provide:
And because the API is being developed with flexibility and interoperability at its core, it will evolve as your systems and requirements change, future-proofing your investment in data-driven decision making.
Looking Ahead
As data continues to shape how Local Authorities and Virtual Schools improve outcomes for vulnerable learners, the need for connected, accurate, and accessible information will only grow.
Welfare Call’s integration capabilities – and our new API – are central to that vision.
By reducing duplication, strengthening collaboration, and ensuring every professional works from the same trusted data, we’re helping Local Authorities focus on what matters most: supporting children, not managing systems.
