Salary: £38-42k (Band 3b) + company vehicle

Job description and responsibilities:

Ultimately, a successful Account Manager should collaborate with our Business Development team to achieve quotas while keeping our clients satisfied and engaged with our products and services in the long-run.
- Serve as the lead point of contact specific to your customer account management matters
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships by answering queries and increasing customer satisfaction
- Gather information on assigned areas (e.g. numbers, needs and pricing plans)
- Contact clients to understand their requirements and work on a sales plan
- Communicate product and pricing details clearly
- Point of contact for both internal queries and external clients in regard to contractual and service delivery issues
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and SMT
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
- Maintain (and renew when necessary) current contracts by updating demographics, fee schedules and any service changes
- Provide after sales support to retain customers
- Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
- Routinely update administration on customer account/contract/new business opportunity status on the company’s CRM system – Salesforce
- Collaborate with Business Development team to identify and grow opportunities within territory
- Liaise with other Account Managers and Head of Business Development to create customized sales plans for key accounts
- Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
- Conduct insightful and productive termly review meetings with customer accounts, clearly communicating this progress to internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare reports on account status
- Administer quotations to customer accounts for payments that are due, obtain Purchase Order numbers and liaise with the Finance Team to generate invoices
Place of work: you will normally be required to work at BBIC, Snydale Road, Cudworth, Barnsley, S72 8RP with the option to work remotely from your home address (for up to 2 days of the working week) and travel as required.
Hours of work: you will be expected to work 40 hours per week, normally to be worked between the core hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm, Monday-Friday. Occasionally you may be expected to work additional hours to meet the needs of the business.

Job Criteria
Essential Requirements
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field
and/or
proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role - Familiar with a variety of sales concepts, practices and procedures and an ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Rely on experience to plan and accomplish goals in line with and to support the overall company’s strategy and vision
- Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive
- High degree of professionalism
- Solid experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Zoho CRM or HubSpot) and MS Office (particularly MS Excel)
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Desirable Requirements
- Knowledge of the public and/or education sector and how it operates
